Melina Coogan was named one of the top five most promising writers in the North West entering the market by Sudden Fiction's 2007 Spotlight Search. She is the recipient of the Joan Grayston prize for poetry and the 2006 Edith K Draham Scholarship for Fiction. She lives in Seattle, Washington.
